Education Assistance
Breaking Barriers, Building Futures
At One Way Love, we believe that education is the foundation for long-term success. Many of the young people we serve face academic setbacks due to housing instability, financial hardships, or a lack of access to essential resources.
Our Education Assistance Program provides the tools, support, and opportunities to help at-risk youth stay in school, complete their education, and prepare for a successful future.

Our Approach
Removing Barriers to Success
For many students, challenges like homelessness, transportation issues, and financial struggles make it difficult to focus on their education. We provide direct assistance and essential resources to ensure students can continue their studies without added stress.
Partnership with St. Tammany Parish Public Schools & KIT Program
Through our partnership with St. Tammany Parish Public Schools and the Kids In Transition (KIT) program, we work directly with school counselors and administrators to support students who are experiencing instability.
By working within the school system, we are able to:
-
Identify students who need help early on and provide immediate support.
-
Coordinate with educators and counselors to create an individualized success plan.
-
Ensure students have access to essential academic resources like laptops, tutoring, and test prep.

What We Offer
📚 Tutoring & Academic Support
We connect students with tutors and mentors who provide subject-specific guidance, helping them improve grades, build confidence, and stay on track for graduation.
🎓 GED Preparation & Testing Support
For students who are unable to complete traditional high school, we offer assistance with GED preparation, covering testing fees, and connecting them with study resources to ensure they have a path to educational success.
🖥️ Technology Assistance
Many students lack access to computers, internet, or other necessary tools for schoolwork. Through our Technology Assistance Program, we provide:
-
Laptops & Chromebooks for students in need.
-
Prepaid mobile hotspots for students without reliable internet.
-
Tech training & digital literacy support to help students navigate online learning.
📖 College & Career Counseling
We guide students through the college application process, FAFSA completion, and scholarship searches. For those pursuing careers outside of traditional college paths, we connect them with vocational training programs, internships, and workforce readiness initiatives.

Next Chapter Program
Through our partnership with The Salvation Army and Delgado Community College, we proudly support the Next Chapter Program, a workforce development initiative designed to help unhoused and housing-insecure young adults build stable, independent futures.
Next Chapter is the only program of its kind in the region, offering:
