Become a Mentor
One Relationship Can Change a Life
At One Way Love, we believe mentorship is one of the most powerful tools for transformation. Many of the young people we serve lack consistent, stable relationships with adults who can offer guidance, encouragement, and real-world advice. As a mentor, you’ll provide more than just support—you’ll help shape a young person’s future and empower them to believe in their potential.
But you won’t do it alone. Mentors receive ongoing support, guidance, and check-ins with the student’s case manager, ensuring you have the resources you need to make a meaningful impact.
Why Mentorship Matters
Youth experiencing housing instability, financial hardship, or lack of family support often feel alone and directionless. A steady, caring mentor can provide:

Ongoing Support for Mentors
You’re never on your own.
Each mentor is connected to the student’s case manager, who provides:
✔ Regular Check-Ins – Ensuring the match is going well and addressing any concerns.
✔ Guidance & Coaching – Helping mentors navigate challenges and provide the best support.
✔ Resources & Training – Offering trauma-informed tools to strengthen your mentoring relationship.
We are here to support you every step of the way, so you can confidently guide your mentee toward success.
Who Can Be a Mentor?
We’re looking for compassionate, reliable adults
Qualified mentors are those who:
✔ Believe in young people’s potential and want to help them succeed.
✔ Can commit to meeting regularly with a mentee for at least six months.
✔ Have life experience, career insights, or skills to share.
✔ Are patient, encouraging, and ready to be a positive influence.
Mentors do not need to be educators or counselors—just caring individuals willing to invest in a young person’s future.
