Mentorship Program
Guidance.
Encouragement.
A Future Within Reach.
At One Way Love, we know that one positive relationship can change a young person’s life forever. Many of the youth we serve lack consistent support systems, leaving them to navigate housing instability, education challenges, and personal hardships alone. Our Mentorship Program provides at-risk youth with trusted, caring mentors who help them build confidence, set goals, and create a path to a successful future.
Through mentorship, we connect young people with reliable role models who provide the guidance, encouragement, and life skills they need to thrive—not just survive.

Our Approach
Connecting Youth with the Right Mentor
Each young person in our program is carefully matched with a mentor based on their unique interests, needs, and goals. Mentors are screened, trained, and supported to ensure they can provide a safe and positive influence in a young person’s life.
Personalized Mentorship Plans
We work with each mentee-mentor pair to establish:
-
Personalized goal-setting sessions.
-
Consistent check-ins and structured activities
-
Support in areas like education, employment, and personal growth.
2
Why Mentorship Matters
Connecting Youth with the Right Mentor
Young people facing homelessness, food insecurity, or lack of family support often feel alone and directionless. A consistent, caring mentor can provide:
-
Emotional Support – A steady presence in a young person’s life.
-
Goal-Setting & Accountability – Helping youth create a plan for their future.
-
Academic & Career Guidance – Assistance with school, job training, and career paths.
-
Life Skills Development – Teaching independence, responsibility, and decision-making.
Our mentors don’t just offer advice—they walk alongside youth as they build their futures.

Who Can Be a Mentor?
We’re looking for compassionate, reliable adults who:
✔ Believe in young people’s potential and want to help them succeed.
✔ Are willing to commit to training, background screenings, and regular meetings with a mentee for at least six months.
✔ Have life experience, career insights, or skills to share.
✔ Are patient, encouraging, and ready to be a positive influence.
Mentors do not need to be educators or counselors—just caring individuals willing to show up and invest in a young person’s future.
