Our Story: From Brokenness to Healing, From Hope to Action

One Way Love was born from a deep understanding of struggle—and the belief that healing is possible when people have the support they need.

Our co-founders, Rosemary and Sandra, know firsthand what it means to walk through brokenness and come out the other side. Their personal journeys, shaped by hardship, resilience, and ultimately transformation, ignited a passion to create a place where young people facing crisis could find stability, support, and hope.

What started as a small outreach effort to help at-risk youth has grown into a community-driven public charity, working to break cycles of homelessness, food insecurity, and systemic barriers that keep young people from thriving.

Through partnerships with St. Tammany Parish Public Schools and the Kids In Transition (KIT) program, One Way Love now serves 150+ students annually, providing them with the resources and relationships they need to build independent, empowered futures.

Rosemary and Sandra’s story is woven into the heart of our mission—because they’ve lived it. They know what it’s like to feel lost. They also know that one person, one opportunity, one act of love can change everything. That’s why One Way Love exists: to ensure that no young person has to navigate hardship alone.

Our
Mission

Providing Stability. Empowering Futures.

Our mission is to provide at-risk youth with the resources, stability, and support they need to overcome challenges and build independent futures.

A Community Where Every Young Person Has a Path Forward.

Our vision is a future where no young person faces homelessness, hunger, or barriers to success—where every youth has the opportunity to thrive, not just survive.

Our
Vision

Our Values

Our work is driven by a deep commitment to the young people we serve. These values guide every program we build, every partnership we form, and every life we help transform.

Empowerment

Equipping youth with the tools, confidence, and opportunities to take control of their future.

Equity

Ensuring every young person has access to essential resources, regardless of their circumstances.

Stability

Providing the foundation for long-term success through housing, mentorship, and education support.

Advocacy

Challenging the systems that fail vulnerable youth and working toward policy changes that create real, lasting impact.

Community

We build a network of support that ensures no young person has to navigate hardship by themselves.

Standing With Youth, Every Step of the Way

We believe in meeting young people where they are, walking alongside them through their challenges, and ensuring they have the resources, relationships, and opportunities they need to build a brighter, stronger future.
