That’s why we’re proud to partner with The Salvation Army and Delgado Community College to support the Next Chapter Program, a one-of-a-kind initiative designed to empower unhoused and housing-insecure young adults with the skills, resources, and support they need to build sustainable, independent lives.

What is the Next Chapter Program?
The Next Chapter Program is the only initiative of its kind in our region that prioritizes workforce development as a long-term solution to homelessness and instability. This program provides:
🎓 Vocational Training in High-Demand Trades
Participants receive career-focused education in partnership with Delgado Community College, equipping them with job-ready skills in industries that offer stable, well-paying employment.
🏠 Holistic Support Services
Success starts with stability. That’s why Next Chapter offers:

Rent-free living arrangements for participants while they complete the program.

Daily meals and essentials, ensuring their basic needs are met.

Personalized case management to help them stay on track and succeed.
💼 Employment & Housing Assistance
Graduates of the program receive ongoing job placement support and assistance securing stable housing, ensuring a smooth transition into long-term independence.
