Housing, Food, and Driving School? Yes. But Also Stamps, Shoes, and Small Acts of Love.

At One Way Love, we provide the big things—housing assistance, food, mentorship, and access to driving school. These are the critical resources that help young people survive and build a path toward stability.
But what makes One Way Love different?
It’s the small moments of care, the unexpected “yes” to a need that might otherwise go unnoticed.
Last week, we got this text from a school counselor:
“Can I get stamps and stationery for a student? Her mom is in prison, and she wants to write to her and send a package. Also, I have a student who needs size 12 slip-on dress shoes.”
These aren’t needs that fit into a grant application. There’s no line item in a funding report for stamps, stationery, or a pair of dress shoes.
But to that student who wants to stay connected to her mother? To the young man who needs the right shoes to attend an event or a job interview? These little things mean everything.
And because they matter to them, they matter to us.
More Than Just a Program—A Lifeline of Support
There are many organizations that provide resources to at-risk youth. But what we do at One Way Love is different.
We don’t just check boxes. We pay attention to what our students really need—both the big things and the small ones.
We fund driving school so a student can get their license—but we also make sure they have gas money to get to their test.
We help with rent and housing, but we also know that sometimes, a small expense—a broken backpack, a lost pair of glasses, a missing ID card—can be the thing that derails everything.
We stock our supply closet with food, hygiene products, and clothes, but we also listen when a student says, “I need something specific.”
Because it’s not just about providing resources. It’s about making sure no young person feels invisible.
How Your Support Makes This Possible
At A Night of Hope 2025, every ticket sold, every donation, and every sponsorship goes toward supporting these critical needs—both the big ones and the little ones that make all the difference.
Your generosity means that when a counselor reaches out with a request, we don’t have to say, “We’ll see if we can find funding.”
We get to say “Yes.”
💛 Yes, we’ll get the stamps.
💛 Yes, we’ll buy the shoes.
💛 Yes, we see you. We hear you. And we’re here for you.
This is love without limits.
And if you believe in this kind of impact, we invite you to be part of it.
